The Texas Legislature
The Texas Legislature exercises jurisdiction over significant portions of the wholesale and retail electricity markets in both the ERCOT and non-ERCOT areas of the state.
Over the past decade, Texas has methodically introduced competition into the state's electricity markets, leading to an abundance of clean, efficient generation and low energy prices for consumers. TCPA actively monitors legislative activity and works with Texas legislators to promote reliable and efficient competitive energy markets.
